- PDF Signer – Create New PDF Document

Full Functional, Visual & Business Documentation

- Overview

The PDF Signer module is Biz1's digital document preparation and signing system, designed to transform static PDF files into interactive and signable business documents.

It allows organizations to:

  • Upload any existing PDF file

  • Visually place signature fields, stamps, and data blocks

  • Create reusable signature templates

  • Send documents for secure digital signing

All this is done without externally editing the original PDF file and without requiring technical knowledge.

- Why the PDF Signer Exists (Business Purpose)

Traditional PDF workflows suffer from:

  • Manual printing and scanning

  • Repeated email correspondence

  • Lost versions

  • Unclear accountability

  • Legal and critical risks

The PDF Signer solves these problems by providing:

✅ Full digital signing
✅ Centralized document control
✅ Clear signer accountability
✅ Faster approvals
✅ Legally consistent signatures

Result: Faster closures, fewer errors, and professional document handling.

- Visual Layout – How the Interface is Built

The New PDF Signer creation screen is divided into two smart workspaces:

- Left Pane – Document Canvas (Your PDF File)

Purpose

This area represents the actual PDF document you are working on.

What You See

  • Large upload box:
“Drag or drop your document here”

  • Clean and neutral canvas background

  • After upload:

    • Each PDF page is visually displayed

    • Pages appear vertically, one below the other

  • Button Replace file and keep fields

What It Means

This canvas serves as a visual layer over the PDF file, allowing you to place elements exactly where they should appear after signing.

Purpose

This panel contains everything you can add to the PDF file.

Key Components

  • Title: “Content”

- How New PDF Signer Creation Works (Conceptually)

Think of the process as three layers:

  1. Base Document – The original PDF file

  2. Visual Layer – Fields placed on top

  3. Signing Logic – Who signs, where, and how

The PDF file itself is never directly modified.
Instead, Biz1 stores positional data and rules on top of it.

- Step-by-Step: Creating a New PDF Signer

- Step 1: Open the PDF Signer

  • Click on Flow in the left sidebar

  • Open New PDF Signer

  • The empty workspace + content panel appear

- Step 2: Upload the PDF Document

Option A – Drag and Drop

  • Drag a .pdf file

  • Drop it into the upload area

Option B – Click to Upload

  • Click the upload box

  • Select a PDF file

  • Confirm upload

System Rules

  • Only .pdf files are allowed

  • The file is validated server-side

  • Corrupt PDF files are rejected

- Step 3: Internal Document Processing (Automatic)

After upload, the system:

  • Converts each PDF page to an image

  • Calculates:

    • Page width

    • Page height

    • Total number of pages

  • Generates a canvas for each page

  • Stores the original file securely

⚙️ Why This Is Important
This ensures pixel-perfect placement of fields.

- Step 4: Drag & Drop Content Blocks

  • Select any content block

  • Drag it onto the PDF canvas

  • Drop it at the exact required location

Each block:

  • Is movable

  • Is resizable

  • Is deletable

  • Knows which page it belongs to

- Step 5: Configure Block Properties

Each placed block is configurable:

  • Text content

  • Who must sign

  • Required / Optional

  • Visibility rules

  • Language behavior

This defines how the document behaves during signing, not just visually.

- Step 6: Naming & Saving the PDF Signer

Before saving:

  • Enter a clear and descriptive name

  • Example:

    • “Sales Agreement – Israel”

    • “Client Approval Form – V2”

Upon saving, the system stores:

  • Original PDF reference

  • Page images

  • Field locations (JSON)

  • Page dimensions

  • Language

  • Signing logic

  • Stamp rules
