- Visual Layout – How the Interface Is Structured

The New PDF Signer screen is split into two intelligent working areas:

- Left Pane – Document Canvas (Your PDF)

Purpose

This area represents the actual PDF document you are working on.

What You See

  • A large upload box:
“Drop or Drag your document here”

  • A clean, neutral canvas background

  • Once uploaded:

    • Each PDF page is displayed visually

    • Pages appear vertically, one below another

  • A Replace file and Remaining fields button

What It Means

This canvas acts as a visual layer on top of the PDF, allowing you to position elements exactly where they should appear when signed.

- Right Pane – Content Blocks Library

Purpose

This panel contains everything you can add to the PDF.

Key Elements

  • Title: “Content”

  • Subtitle: “Drag content blocks into your document”

  • Search Field:
Helps quickly find blocks when templates grow large

- How Creating a New PDF Signer Works (Conceptually)

Think of the process as three layers:

  1. Base Document – The original PDF

  2. Visual Overlay – Fields placed on top

  3. Signing Logic – Who signs, where, and how

The PDF itself is never altered directly.
Instead, Biz1 stores position data and rules on top of it.

- Step-by-Step: Creating a New PDF Signer

- Step 1: Open the PDF Signer

  • Click Flow in the left sidebar

  • Open New PDF Signer

  • The empty canvas + content panel appear

- Step 2: Upload the PDF Document

Option A – Drag & Drop

  • Drag a .pdf file

  • Drop it into the upload area

Option B – Click Upload

  • Click the upload box

  • Select a PDF file

  • Confirm upload

System Rules

  • Only .pdf files allowed

  • File validated server-side

  • Corrupt PDFs are rejected

- Step 3: Internal Document Processing (Automatic)

Once uploaded, the system:

  • Converts each PDF page into an image

  • Calculates:

    • Page width

    • Page height

    • Total page count

  • Generates a canvas for each page

  • Stores original file securely

⚙️ Why this matters
This ensures pixel-perfect positioning of fields.

- Step 4: Drag & Drop Content Blocks

  • Select any content block

  • Drag it onto the PDF canvas

  • Drop it at the exact required location

Each block:

  • Can be moved

  • Can be resized

  • Can be deleted

  • Knows which page it belongs to

- Step 5: Configure Block Properties

Each placed block can be configured:

  • Text content

  • Who must sign

  • Required / optional

  • Visibility rules

  • Language behavior

This defines how the document behaves during signing, not just visually.

- Step 6: Name & Save the PDF Signer

Before saving:

  • Enter a clear, descriptive name

  • Example:

    • “Sales Agreement – Israel”

    • “Client Approval Form – V2”

On save, the system stores:

  • Original PDF reference

  • Page images

  • Field positions (JSON)

  • Page dimensions

  • Language

  • Signature logic

  • Stamp rules

- Step 7: Replace PDF (Optional Advanced Action)

If the document changes later:

  • Click Replace file and Remaining fields

  • Upload a new PDF

  • System attempts to map fields automatically

⚠️ Important Warning

  • If page count changes, some fields may be lost

  • Always test after replacing

- Advanced Capabilities

- Multi-Page Documents

  • Unlimited pages

  • Fields per page

  • Signatures distributed across pages
